Lake Como Hostel - Menaggio

The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check-in early. The room was spacious and clean, with a amazing view from the balcony. The atmosphere was friendly and I enjoyed mingling with guests from different countries. The food, especially the BBQ on Saturday night, was delicious and reasonably priced. The location was perfect, close to the ferry stop and within walking distance of everything in the beautiful area.

Everything was spot on.

The hostel was perfect for a cheap place to stay overnight with nice views. Dinner was edible and cheap, the local wine they offer is brilliant and cheap! The manager was really nice, offering lot's of advice. They also offer cheap activities. Location wise, the hostel was easy to find and a good based to explore that area of Lake Como. Fundamentally this is a hostel, so don't expect the most amazing place but, having said that, the hostel was perfect for 4 friends wanting a cheap weekend getaway!

The breakfast wasn't amazing, but can't really complain for the price.

This was my first experience with a hostel and because I stayed here, I would stay at other hostels. The view from my room was of Lake Como with a lovely deck to just sit and relax in the sunshine. The staff was extremely friendly. The meals were reasonably priced and delicious. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. I would recommend this hostel to everyone.

The location of this hotel was first class overlooking the beutiful Lake Como.The staff were friendly always there to help when you needed it.Also the hostel was okay pretty cheap but not always cheerful,hostels are what they are if you do not like sharing then this place is not for you.Overall it was a good stay.

If there was one thing the room was rather untidy.

Friendly staff who were always ready to help, clean facilities, excellent views of Lake Como, and very close to everything: shops, restaurants, ferry ride to Varenna and Bellagio, and bus stop. Indeed, an excellent place for the money. I would return here again, and again.

Late night to early morning ruckus keeping us awake especially when we had an early bus to catch.

The hostel is conveniently located on the hill, giving easy access to the nearby beaches and Menaggio pier for trips to Varenna or Bellagio. The Menaggio ferry port is also nearby, making it convenient for exploring the area. The rooms offer a beautiful view of the lake, and some even have balconies. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hostel provides amenities like fans and sinks in the rooms.

The hostel lacks proper ventilation, leading to hot and stuffy rooms.

Very nice atmosphere, great for meeting other travellers. The location is excellent, 5mn walk from the ferry to explore the small cities and villas around the lake. The personnel is friendly and helpful.

The cleanliness left a lot to be desired, especially in the bathroom. There was a musty smell in the sleeping room as well. The food was relatively cheap, but not tasty, rather canteen-like. This is a hostel, so if you're not too demanding and are looking for company and a good location on the lake Como, you might enjoy it.

Toilets and showers are small, bordering on claustrophic. Rooms do not lock at all.

Good location, close to ferry and bus stop. Helpful staff, provided ferry advice. Clean and adequate breakfast with fresh bread. Bar and sociable atmosphere in the evenings. Bunks had own wall sockets. Compact private bathrooms.

Beautiful scenery. Excellent location. Lots of opportunities to meet other people. Good food.

Room was very small for amount of people in the room.

Nice atmosphere and great staff. Possible to rent bikes or Booked.nets or go sailing on the lake with one of the staff members. Cheap bar and good dinner. Wifi/computers available for reasonable price. Great value!

If you are not ready to spend your night in dorm I wouldn't recommend.

It is a typical youth hostel and I don't know what I had really expected. Rooms with bunk beds, not too clean, and on top of that - absolutely appaling bathrooms. If you want Internet access they charge you 2 euros per hour.
